Dear Hakon,
thank you very much. This seems very interesting and useful. I'm now working under Linux, so I won't be able to try it right away, but I suggest that you post a message in the Example/contributions section of the Dynare Forum and that you upload your files there.
All the best,
Michel

Hi Michel,
I've been using Dynare for a while, and one of the things I have been working on is to replicate the Bayesian estimation of the model in a paper by Gertler, Sala and Trigari (*). This is a large model, so there is a lot to keep track of, and the .mod file becomes quite long as well. One thing that I have found really helpful in making the file more readable and hence easier to work with, is to use an editor with syntax highlighting and code folding enabled to recognize the Dynare commands and keywords. The editor that I have used is Notepad++, which among other features, has a simple interface to design a new scheme for syntax highlighting for a new language. I've used that interface to design such a scheme, and thought I'd pass it on since I think others could find it quite useful too.
If this sounds interesting to you, take a look at the attached .zip file, try it out, and let me know what you think!
Best,
Håkon Tretvoll
