would it be a big problem to allow the same syntax neighborhood_width that is implemented in 4.3, to the 4.2 dynare? I am going to give a course in March and this option may be useful there, to avoid using the unstable version (I could of course explicitly set the option as options_.gsa_opt ... but the dynare syntax would be cleaner).
If, as I understand it, this change is only about adding a new option to the parser, then it cannot introduce a new bug, and I would therefore agree to have it backported in 4.2.
Can you confirm that this is the case? Then don't hesitate to remind us a little before your course, so that we make the 4.2.5 in due time.
Best,
Yes indeed,
in the meantime I adapt the gsa toolbox, which for 4.2 is still outside the official dynare, so any bug there is outside dynare team responsibility.
thanks a lot best Marco

Ok the change has been pushed in the 4.2 branch. It should be part of the 4.2.5 release. Don't hesitate to remind us one week or two before you workshop so that we make the release in time.
Best,
