Is it intended that loading data from mat-files in master only works if they are column vectors and not row vectors? This leads to strange behavior as the result is 1 by nvars*nobs and then only one observation is detected, which is actually the first two observations of the first variable.

Yes I assume that variables are stored in column vectors. This is always what I do... But I guess it's not an argument. I push a fix in a minute.
