Johannes: I have just pushed a fix (dd0190b) which I think should fix the preprocessor crashes that you were experiencing sometimes.
Could you test with tomorrow's snapshot to see if the problem is indeed fixed by that commit?

it solves the issue with discretionary policy reported in http://www.dynare.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4066. However, the problem with ppp.mod (http://www.dynare.org/pipermail/dev/attachments/20120629/85f3b721/attachment..., i.e. our "Complex Parameters" thread) persists.

This was a different issue. It should be fixed by commit cb34c870 that I just pushed.
