Finally it has been decided to postpone the release of Dynare 4.4.

The main reason is that there are several important changes that need to be incorporated in order to be used during the GPM workshop that CEPREMAP organizes in two weeks. It would have been impossible to incorporate these changes at the last minute while at the same time delivering a stable and well-test release.

We have therefore decided to create a 4.4-beta1 version for use during the Dynare Summer School. This beta version will essentially be a snapshot of the master branch as of Thursday June 20. We may create a 4.4-beta2 for the GPM workshop one week later. These two beta releases won't be advertised on the website, and will only be used in the workshops.

The 4.4.0 version will therefore be released in late August / early September. This gives us enough time for proper testing, instead of rushing at the last minute.
