Hi all,
As you may have seen, I have created the git branch for the Dynare 4.2
release.
I created release candidate #1 package for Dynare 4.2.0. You can
download the Windows package at:
http://www.dynare.org/sebastien/dynare-4.2.0-rc1-win.exe
And the source package at:
http://www.dynare.org/sebastien/dynare-4.2.0-rc1.tar.gz
Please install and test this release candidate. You may want to test
that the specific features you implemented are working fine, or that the
models you are working on are correctly handled.
My plan is to make the official release by the end of this week. Please
give me your feedback as soon as possible, in order to have as few bugs
as possible in the release.
I reming you that during the lifetime of the 4.2 branch, every time you
fix a bug in the master branch, you have the responsibility to backport
this bugfix (if relevant) to the 4.2 branch. The git “cherry-pick”
command of is the main tool for doing this. Don’t hesitate to contact me
if you have any difficulty in backporting your bugfixes.
Best,

I have created new repositories on our server for hosting code from Tao
Zha and Dan Waggoner, and in the process huge emails where sent by
accident on the dynare commit lists.
Some of you will not receive them because of size limits on their
mailboxes. I apologize to those who received it.

#37: Automatic generation of _steadystate.m file from initval block
--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
Reporter: sebastien | Owner: sebastien
Type: feature | Status: new
Priority: major | Milestone:
Component: Preprocessor | Version:
Keywords: |
--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
The idea is that the preprocessor would create a _steadystate.m file,
using the (symbolic) initializations given in the initval block.
This would be particularly useful for estimating models for which the
analytical form of the steady state is known.
