Open pull requests

Dear all, we still have a few open pull requests. Almost all of them are now in conflict with the master branch. What is the best practice in this case? Merge them with master from time to time? Or wait until someone deals with them? I am asking because of #852 and #692. They involve a series of rather important bugfixes, but could not be merged at the current point in time. Best, Johannes

Runtime of ls2003a under Octave on Sedna

Hi Stéphane, I noticed that gsa/ls2003a.mod takes forever to run under Octave on Sedna. I cannot replicate this behavior under Matlab or Octave 3.8.2 on my machine or Matlab on Sedna. [Fwd: GNU Octave 4.0.0 Released]

Hi all, As you can see in the attachment, Octave 4.0 has been released. It comes with two major improvements: an official graphical user interface, and an official Windows installer. With these improvements, I think that Octave can now become a first-class alternative to MATLAB for Dynare users. I have started working on Octave 4.0 support for Dynare (in both 4.4 and master branches). It works well on some example MOD-files. The next step would be to run the whole testsuite. I hope to find some time to work on this, but don't hesitate to work on this too if I am not reactive enough. Note that the current Windows installers of Dynare are probably not compatible with the Octave 4.0 installer (because of DLL incompatibilities). We could probably switch now the unstable snapshot to use Octave 4.0 (but this requires work on karaba, so ultimately this is your call). And then the next official release of Dynare could be with Octave 4.0 support. For Debian users: Octave 4.0 should be available in experimental in a hopefully not too distant future (but I cannot tell when, because it depends on the action of some external team, which seems overloaded); in the meantime, I can send you binary packages if you are interested. fs2000 with real data with 4.4.3
